Seven Days Project: Day Four and a Puppet Theater

Stephane was in New York for business yesterday so we girls got creative. Here’s what we made. We are pretty thrilled!

We just used the top of a cardboard box plus a few more pieces for the marquee and at the bottom to hold it up. I already had white contact paper purchased at the thrift store from when we made the kitchen and the chalkboard marquee came from the dollar store, as did the felt for the puppets. The black curtain hangs from a cut and taped on wire hanger. Fabric was from a bag of scraps at the thrift store, too, so I think this qualifies as a dollar store craft! The whole thing cost maybe $5? Less? Anyway, it took us all afternoon and we’ve been performing “Super Puppet Shows” non stop since.  So much fun!

Have just added your puppet theatre to my pinterest board – hope you do not mind. My daughter talks constantly about having a show, so this would be perfect ~ Thanks!
