I love leeks. I really love leeks. Stephane and I occasionally do homemade pizzas and leeks figure heavily in the process. So recently I read that leeks are perfectly good juicing material but holy cow, you really don’t want to have to breathe on anyone afterwards. About a dozen Altoids later I cannot get the taste out of my mouth and my stomach is not quite right. On the other hand, Stephane thought it was fantastic. Go figure.
My advice? Use less leek.
Six Roma Tomatoes
Three Stalks Celery
Half Red Pepper (cap and seeds removed)
Half Inch of Leek (I used maybe two inches!)
Pretty to look at, smelled fab. Probably not going to try this one again for awhile, though.
